Solar Energy

As a reputable RE company, we specialize in developing ground-mounted solar PV and rooftop solar system projects. Dr. Yi YE, Founder, Chairman

As a seasoned veteran in the renewable energy (RE) industry, Dr. Ye has accumulated years of experience in China and the United States, which translates into a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the industry.

With his extensive background, Dr. Ye established Windmagics Energy (Wuhan) Co. Ltd in 2009 and has since received much recognition for his significant achievements and valuable contributions to the industry.

Notable accomplishments include

● Selected into the "3551 Talent Plan" of East Lake High-tech Zone of Wuhan and the "Hundred Talents Program" of Hubei Province
● Receiving the "Hubei Province Young Entrepreneur Innovation Award" and being named "Environmental Protection Ambassador"
● Prior senior management experience at NextEra Energy, one of America’s largest energy companies
● Earning a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Missouri
● Serving as Assistant Professor of Mathematical Statistics at the University of North Florida

Cathryn CHU, CEO

Cathryn's expertise in project development and technical due diligence is complemented by her extensive experience in the RE industry. She assumed the CEO position at Windmagics (WMI) in 2018, having previously held the esteemed role of APAC Director at Wood Clean Energy (formerly SgurrEnergy). Cathryn’s wealth of experience and expertise ensures that WMI continues to provide innovative and customized solutions every step of the way.

Notable accomplishments include

● Involvement in 1GW of RE project development in Asia
● Technical due diligence for 10GW of wind and solar projects
● Advisory work for on- and offshore wind projects in Korea and China
● Contributions to EU and UK initiatives for reducing offshore wind impact in China
● Technical advisory for a 4,000MW utility IPO
● Monitoring of the Hong Kong Lamma Island 100MW offshore wind farm
● Development of Taiwan's first project-financed offshore wind farm, the Zhang Guishan offshore wind farm
● Work on various on- and off-grid RE projects across Southeast Asia

Sean LIM, Executive Director

Sean is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in sustainability and the built environment. He has a proven track record of delivering value for asset owners, real estate investment trusts, and institutional investors through innovative technological and business solutions that drive positive environmental impact.

As a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2011, Sean brings a deep understanding of the industry and a commitment to upholding work to its highest standards. He also serves as an executive member of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham China), a non-profit organization supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore to the People’s Republic of China and International Enterprise Singapore. This demonstrates his dedication to building meaningful relationships and making a difference in the community.

Ching Ching EE, General Manager

Utilizing her extensive experience in property development, Ching Ching has successfully devised and implemented numerous solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy projects across Asia Pacific.

Ching Ching's remarkable ability to navigate challenges and transform them into lucrative opportunities has made her highly effective at identifying trends early on in emerging markets. Her leadership skills, foresight and considerable expertise is instrumental in helping WMI deliver sustainable and reliable RE solutions of all scales.

Danni LU, Project Manager

Danni, leveraging her engineering background, expertly manages a wide variety of RE projects and provides comprehensive sustainability advisory services to a diverse range of Hong Kong-based organizations. Her clients include green technology funds, banks, and universities, and she places particular emphasis on driving decarbonization initiatives. In this capacity, Danni builds strong relationships with clients, developers, vendors, and stakeholders to execute strategies and offer sound advice to leadership during crucial decision-making processes.
