WindMagics International Limited started operation in Hong Kong with its new office in the city serving as a global hub. The operation here would focus on project development, operation, maintenance, and investment services for clients from across the world, WindMagics officials said.
Ms. Cathryn Chu, former APAC Director of Wood Group’s Clean Energy, has been appointed as the CEO. As a top official at Clean Energy (formerly SgurrEnergy), Cathryn has closely worked with government sectors, utilities, developers, design institutions, EPCs, banks and investors for the last 13 years. She has overseen a number of large-scale onshore and offshore utility-scale wind energy projects in the region. With her two decades of experience in renewable energy projects, she has earned wide
recognition in the industry and among the clients.
The company officials stated that The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) would result in a surge in demand for renewable energy export from China opening up new investment opportunities in the industry. WindMagics aims to connect China and the world and enhance the industry by promoting renewable energy investment and development.
